Plot: Sam Witwicky (LaBeough) goes off to college and discovers his brain has been implanted with a secret robot code that will help the Decpticons destroy the sun.

Kate says: 1 1/2 stars First off let me just tell you that if you felt ok about letting your younger kids see the first movie, you may want to consider seeing this one first before you let little Johnny or Janie tag along. Along with amping up the violence and action (there’s a 50 minute battle scene which felt at least double that to me), director Micheal Bay has also amped up the bad language (since when do kids toys swear like sailors?), and amped up the sex and crudeness level. The only thing I liked about this movie is Shia LaBeough. (He’s my former dentists’ nephew and I’ve heard some pretty interesting stories from when he was just starting out in the movie business. You know how dentists like to gab…)
