Liz’s rant: Iranian heartbreaker
Well, just when you think you’ve heard everything, get a load of this. Iran has banned Valentine’s Day. Yes, you read it right. What does this mean? No chocolates or cards, no flowers or gems. No cute little candy hearts that say “Cutie Pie” or “Real Love”. No nothing that could even remotely resemble anything having to do with Heart Day. Heaven forbid you wear a shirt with a heart on it. Liz’s rant: Choose your color carefully
In honor of stupid Cupid, I thought we’d have a little fun with flowers, today. Plus which, Kate outdid herself with the personalized fortune cookies, so I’m trying to save face, here. As you probably know, Valentine’s Day is a huge boon for florists, with the male of the species ordering blooming love for their lovers. In fact, 50 million flowers are given worldwide on this date. But there are a few rules of the road when it comes to giving flowers – especially when that flower is a rose.
