I just realized that it has been a REALLY long time since I’ve written a post on anything related to The Twilight Saga. In fact, it’s probably been a good three months since I’ve even typed the word “Eclipse” into the Google bar. And truthfully, even though I have an Eclipse countdown at the bottom of my very own website, I’ve even lost track of how long until Eclipse premiers on June 30, 2010. Fyi…63 days from today. The big day is finally here!  New Moon comes out tonight at midnight! Psst! I have a secret for you, and I’ll tell you what it is if you promise not to hate me for it.  I’ve just come home from seeing New Moon.  It’s a perk of being a movie reviewer.  Let me tell you, if you’re a Twilight fan, I think you’ll be pleased with Twilight Saga: New Moon. Betcha didn’t know… this New Moon Trivia. The title New Moon is often thought to be a werewolf reference. Stephenie Meyer, however, says that is “refers to the phase of the moon opposite a full moon.  It is when the sun is on the opposite side of the moon from us and thus the bright side of the moon is not visible from the earth.  This is the darkest kind of night. Twilight Zone – The Host to be a Movie

Stephenie Meyer, author of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” reveals on her website that The Host will be made into a major motion picture. The rights to Meyer’s 2008 novel The Host, a love story involving humans possessed by aliens, have been picked up by producers Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz and Nick Wechsler as a potential follow-up to her successful “Twilight” books and movies, according to Variety. No studio is attached yet, though “Lord of War” director Andrew Niccol’s name is being mentioned as screenwriter and director. The Host follows Chicagoan Melanie Stryder who, in a world where humans are implanted with seemingly benevolent alien bugs, resists the control of her parasite, dubbed The Wanderer. Twilight Zone – Meyer accused of plagerism

Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer has been served a cease and desist order by Jordan Scott, 21 year old author of The Nocturne, asking not for money, but for cessation of the circulation of Breaking Dawn.  Jordan claims that Meyer copied the plot as well as significant events that “bear striking resemblances” to Jordan’s 2006 novel. Scenes that were allegedly copied include A post wedding sex scene at the beach A scene about a woman who’s sick because she’s carrying a child with “evil powers” A scene with the death of the main character’s wife (Okay…not anything here that couldn’t be found in thousands of other novels.) Kate’s Escapades – I Confess…I’m a Twilight Addict

I have a confession to make…I consider myself to be a  fairly well rounded, sensible, logical, mature grown adult woman…and my confession is that I am a Twilight fan. There, I said it. And not just a casual fan either. I’m talking midnight movie premiers, book signings, internet searches for the latest Twilight scoops…you know a slightly obsessed fan. (“Slightly obsessed”, now that’s an oxymoron for you.) It’s really the best selling Twilight book series written by Stephenie Meyer that I love. All the rest is just a bonus.
