Plot: Johnny Depp stars as legendary gangster, John Dillinger, and Christian Bale plays FBI agent Melvin Purvis.  The movie follows the story of the last few months of Dillinger’s life and Purvis’ pursuit of serving justice.

Kate says: 3  stars     Depp and Bale do not disappoint.  Excellent performances by both.  This movie plays more like a documentary, than the typical sensationalized gangster movie, and I like that.  It’s a nice change to go to a movie about bad guys and not end up rooting for them.

Ebert: 3 1/2  stars
