“REEL reviews for REAL people”
Rating: PG for some mild rude humor
Genre: Comedy
Starring: John Travolta, Robin Williams, Kelly Preston, Seth Green

The not-so-kid-savvy bachelors stumble in their efforts to take care of the twins (newcomers ELLA BLEU TRAVOLTA and CONNER RAYBURN), leading to one debacle after another, and perhaps to a new-found understanding of what’s really important in life. –© Walt Disney Pictures

Kate says- 2 stars “Old Dogs is a silly little movie full of silly little gags and a silly little plot. I read a lot of reviews, and have been hard pressed to find a reviewer to add the this post who actually liked this movie. Some critics are even saying it’s one of the worst movies of the year. Come on guys (and girls) lighten up! It’s not THAT bad. I found myself laughing on occasion, but my 9 year old son and his friends laughed practically the whole way through the movie.”
Ebert says – 1 star “Old Dogs is stupefying dimwitted. Old Dogs” seems to have lingered in post-production while editors struggled desperately to inject laugh cues. It obviously knows no one will find it funny without being ordered to. How else to explain reaction shots of a dog responding to laugh lines?” (read full review)
Elizabeth Weitzman (NY Daily News) says – 1 star “Travolta, who delivers an impressively enthusiastic performance, seems to have no idea that he’s stuck in one of the year’s worst movies. The perpetually pained expression on Williams’ face, however, suggests he knows otherwise.” (read full review)
Rene Rodriguez (Miami Herald) says – 2 stars “The actors certainly give this feeble material their all… Nostalgia is part of the modest charm of this disposable but inoffensive picture.” (read full review)

i am bearing another idea . i think this is a good movie for all who like to be laugh and fat. Old Dogs (2009) was not that much bad and it renders ton of comedies. but i should accept that they have used same comedies what we have seen since many years. the only problem with that was they had to use comedies some thing new.

Old Dogs isn’t the worst movie of the year, but it may have the worst instincts: vulgar obviousness, blatant pandering, narrative stupidity and emotional incoherence.
Thank you for warning me. I will not be wasting money on this film.
