Kate says -I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this movie going into it. Since the circus surrounding his death, I have been torn between the Michael Jackson that I remembered and loved, and the Michael that he seemed to have become in the later years. Watching Michael Jackson’s This Is It brought back to me all of the things that I love about him as a performer. At times he seems frail and worn out, but let’s remember he was 50 years old and most of the 50 year olds I know couldn’t handle such an exhausting rehearsal schedule as he did. It is also evident that he was having the time of his life every time he stepped on that stage to rehearse. There really is no other like him. This movie re-confirms that Michael will forever be the King of Pop.
Jim Farber (Daily News) says - “A thriller it is. A sneak peak at Michael Jackson”s top-secret “This Is It” documentary-style concert-rehearsal film shows the King of Pop in regal form, mapping out dance moves while confidently singing his classic songs…Jackson appears stick-thin but strong and sinewy as he flicks his feet, and pulls his famous twirls with panache.” (See full review)
Elizabeth Taylor says – Dame Elizabeth Taylor wants the world to see the new Michael Jackson movie. The 77-year-old Hollywood legend took to Twitter Monday to gush about “This is It,” calling the late King of Pop a “modern day prophet” and the flick the best she has ever seen.
“I was honored with the great privilege of seeing ‘This Is It’ last week. I was sworn to secrecy, but now I can let you know about it,” she wrote. “It is the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen. It cements forever Michael’s genius in every aspect of creativity.”

I grew up listening to the Jackson Five sing and always loved their music. In fact,I am only 2 years older than Michael was when he died.
No matter what you think of him michael Jackson was an incredible talent who can never be replaced. His music will live on forever and this movies shows that even at age 50 he still had that special gift. It was good to see michael doing what he loved to do.
