Liz’s Rants: Our favorite holiday music
Back by popular demand
Kate and I bring you a few of our favorite songs of the season. We like a little bit of everything music-wise – old, new, sappy, peppy, traditional, edgy – you name it! And if truth be known, I suspect we’ve both been listening to Christmas music since waaay before Thanksgiving even arrived.
Stop for a moment and try to imagine what the holidays would be like without Christmas music. So many of our traditions and memories are tied to the music of the season.
With that in mind, we’ll be featuring a few of our all-time favorites, in no particular order, today through Christmas. And we are probably gonna think of another 3,000 favorites as soon as we post these. Nevertheless, here are a few of our “never get tired of” tunes that seem to get us through the season.
Meanwhile on to the music:
“Baby It’s Cold Outside” by Zooey Deschanel and Leon RedBone
“Oh Holy Night” by Celine Dion
” Celebrate Me Home” by Kenny Loggins
“God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen” by Mannheim Steamrollers
“Song for a Winter’s Night” by Sarah Mclachlan
So there are a few to get you started. Be sure to drop us a line and let us know some of your favorites, too! And tune in again tomorrow for more of our favorite Christmas music!

Love Christmas music…I’m still listening to it! I love Baby, It’s Cold Outside…sung by the above duo and the one sung by Harry Connick Jr. and Leeann Rimes.
I also love Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Straight No Chaser. SNC does a great Mr. Grinch song. They have a fun and lively 12 Days of Christmas and Christmas Can-Can.
I’m sad that Christmas is over…I just love the music!
