Liz’s rant: Peanut butter, honey and a 12-pack

So I know I’m a couple days early in regard to our weekly “Craftdown to Christmas.” Nevertheless, there’s something I’d like to address so that any of you men out there have a say-so in all of this.

Let’s start with my high school buddy Louis, who I recently challenged to come up with a craft. Here’s part of his response:

“Will a peanut butter and honey sandwich do? The trick is to let the sandwich sit for about 10 minutes. It lets the honey crystalize & gives the sandwich a crunchy texture.”

Louis, Louis, Louis…

Then there was Grant’s response: “I think a 12-pack of beer’ll do it.”

Men… Can’t live with ‘em, can’t shoot ‘em. Just sayin.

But in all honesty, it really is the thought that counts, here. So I think you male readers out there (and we know you’re there…) need to get into the spirit of things and send your ideas, too.

Mind you, I had grand visions of you guys creating wood-carved jewelry  boxes and built-in bookshelves. You know – manly crafts created by manly men.

Nevertheless, I think many of you (Louis and Grant included) are probably big sentimental teddy bears, who’d love to create something in the spirit of the season. Or at least give it the ol’ college try.

Which is why I re-send this plea to craft Christmas with Liz and Kate – specifically directing it toward the men, this time. You have it in you… You know it, I know it, Kate knows it.

While I await your input, I’m gonna eat that p, b and h, wash it down with a cold 12-pack, and look forward to seeing what else you men of the species can come up with.
