Liz’s rant: Gotta go?

Here’s the thing. I bet you guys think I make up half the stuff I write about, dismissing it as too strange to be true – especially when it comes to wacky holidays.
Nevertheless, it’s all true – as is this little find, which arrives just in time for the upcoming yule tide season.
(Note to readers: my little holiday craft scissors aren’t snipping yet! I’m counting on someone to send in a craft, recipe, etc. by Thursday noon!!)
Anyway…
For what looks to be the fourth year in a row, Procter and Gamble is giving porta-potty new meaning, by bringing in “the cleanest public restroom” in Times Square. The campaign, named Enjoy the Go, also offers a “Sit or Squat” app which allows cell phone users to search for clean public restrooms all over the country. Oh, please.
But it gets better. The makers of Charmin have hired a handful of bloggers, Charmin Ambassadors if you will, who will man the potty and write about the experiences of the restroom visitors. If that’s not reason enough to steer clear, here are two more reasons. The ambassadors will be taking videos and photos, too.
While I’d guess these visuals will be in keeping with good taste, this whole Charmin Enjoy the Go campaign is just a little more information than I’d really like to have crowding my brain.
In fact this whole campaign just serves to reiterate a statement I’ve made ever since I became a mom: I can’t even go to the restroom in peace.

Is is just the kids that bug you when you are in the bathroom? For me the dogs are the worst.
Well, I don’t have dogs
( And my kids talk to me: Mom are you in there? Hey Mom, can I come in? Nevertheless, can’t we just go to the restroom in peace?!?
