Kates Escapades – America’s Got Talent winner is…

NUP_130304_0428I am a big fan of reality TV.  Think what you may, but it’s a great way for me to relax at the end of the day when my brain and body are on overload status.  (FYI – Liz is not a fan like me…flying solo on this one.)  America’s Got Talent  is ending just in time to start up on Survivor this week.

So, after weeks of auditions and performances, America has chosen the winner of season 4.

But first a recap of Monday night’s performances from the top ten performers…

and then I’ll reveal the top 5 and finally, the winner!

Voices of Glory are the first act to kick off the competition, singing inspirational music to the song, "Greatest Love of All." Piers is so happy with their performance and says finally their entire act has become complete, Sharon agrees with Piers one hundred percent, and David says they hit their performance out of the park.

The next act to go on stage is dancer Hairo Torres with his very unusual dance moves. He takes his moves back to the basics by being solo on stage. Sharon enjoys that Hairo took a risk, David thinks that if Hairo ties all of his performances together he has potential to be great, but Piers is not a fan of the solo routine.

David is sure Lawrence will be leaving the show a star, Piers thinks Lawrence nailed the song but thinks Lawrence needs to tap into his sex symbol status, Sharon says Lawrence was a natural.

Recycled Percussion

And the winner of Season 4 America’s Got Talent is…

Kevin Skinner!!!

And I am as thrilled as can be. My fav homeboy from KY..out of work chicken catcher and man with a heart of gold.  He is exactly what shows like this should be all about.  He is not the most talented of the bunch, but could have a great country music career ahead of him and America did the right thing. He absolutely deserved to win.  Congrats to Kevin!
