Use a fertilizer spreader to put an even coating of ice melt or salt on walkways. It holds a lot and your hands stay clean.

If you’re prepared to have a fight in the mall with a manager, then I’m pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong, I’m from the UK, not sure how it works elsewhere) vendors can write whatever they want on receipts but it doesn’t change the fact that they pretty much have to refund an unused/unopened item… I reckons they’re just relying on your daughter not to come back with reinforcements!

Thanks for this recipe. I used it exactly as you posted and my family enjoyed it. However, we eat it for breakfast at home, and don’t really need to have it in individual packets, so I put it all in a very large airtight rubbermaid container, shook vigorously to make sure it was all thoroughly combined, and then threw in a spare 1/4 cup scoop from the dollar store. Now when we want oatmeal, we just go to the pantry, scoop out what we want, add water or milk and any extras (like raisins, nuts, etc), and heat! Saves us on the baggies and the time to package them. I’m on my second batch, this time, I added 3/4 cup powdered milk and reduced the amount of sugar. My family liked it just a little less sweet. It’s a great basic recipe that I’m adding to my pantry staples now. Thanks again!!

Did not work on my car. ” What to do if you wake up to an already frozen car? Just spray the mixture on your window and watch it melt.” Actually made a thicker ice, and then my kid was late to school b/c we had to scrape even more ice off. And the car stunk all day.

FYI, if you leave vinegar sitting on your car, it can corrode any exposed metal including windshield wipers. Scraping is better to protect your car from rust.

I use the BIG container of coolwhip or 2 regular size containers, or to me it’s too tart…but I love this pie…made 4 for Thanksgiving this year =)
