that standing up often helps to ease the pressure on your back.  Standing up often, even if it’s just for a moment, reduces your risk of back pain by as much as 67%, according to research done at the University of Pennsylvania.  By contrast, sitting for long periods of time at your desk or even in your favorite chair puts 40% more pressure on your spine, which can eventually compress nerves and result in pain.  If you have a hard time remembering to get up, just set your cell phone alarm or times to go off once every hour as a reminder.
